7th Week Back from R&R

Just a quick note to yall...another school comes into being...I know it doesn't look like much by our standards but around these parts, it's like how we felt when we watched our astronauts landing on the moon in '69!!! Take my word for it (those of you too young to remember or not even with us yet), it is a huge deal to these folks. The parents of the kids goin to this school were denied an education by our buddie Saddam but these same parents with tears in their eyes for dam sure are so thankful their kids will have the opportunity - thanks to yall!!! Rest easy, it's scores of schools, water plants, electric sub stations etc etc etc being completed every month around the country which are ever so slowly makin a difference to these folks...

Comments:
Lisa...thanks again for you and your colleagues there... you make this trip so much more worthwhile for us "sand pounders". Give my best regards to all of them and tell them our guys are making a difference in millions of lives thanks to you all. God bless

Wow! Here we are sending our kids to private schools so they can get the best education, and its so hard to believe that kids would be denied an education. How happy the parents must feel now that their kids will have a chance to learn, grow, and make something of themselves! What an opportunity you are helping to provide! Our prayers continue, God Bless and Shalom.

Cheryl...It is an understatement to say how parents here really feel about this generation getting an opportunity to lkearn ABC's that did't get. Can u imagine how we'd feel if the Iraqis came here to the US to liberate us of a Saddam, build schools, encourage our teachers to come back out of hiding and encourage them to teach our kids again in a building that had lights and toilets that flush? I think I'd be saying a few Novenas for them and be on my knees thanking God every day. Problem now is, these Iraqis are doing just that and still they're having to risk their lives doing it when they go to their mosques...Perhaps many of our folks back home who don't "grasp" the concept of what we're doing here need to take some time off their busy schedules to come and relax a bit to really "get it"...LOL Give my best to all the gang in Greenville
