4 Weeks on R&R is Over Already!!!
A very relaxing month has come to an end and I'll be back in Iraq by weekend. Thought I'd share a few highlights with yall. The first few weeks were spent chatting with my son's 4th grade class at St Peter's and then the 7th graders as well. Also spoke with Pack 826 Cub Scouts and hopefully enlightened all a bit about what we're doing there and how many folks in Iraq are so very thankful that we did come there to help them. Now, many Iraqi kids are going to school and getting a chance at an education that their parents didn't have. It was truly an honor to speak with so many neat kids who one day will make a difference in this tough and often unforgiving world. I'm proud to have seen the kids at SPS and 826 who confirmed my belief that this trip was worthwhile. I thank all yall who have extended a hand to my family in my absence. I could not have done this without your support. Please don't worry. These soldiers are taking care of business and me as well. My job is to help Iraqi engineers "learn to fish" in the time I have left. Thanks again everyone for helpin Colette and Will make it thru the day without their ole man. God bless yall...
