Almost 4 months in Country

Hope you liked the pics of Anna Renee ...isn't she a beauty? Last night the Army hooked me up with Colette and family on a Video Conference and it was the best thing that happened to me since arriving...it was great seeing my family again and I'm so thankful. Look forward to seein the rest of ya in Feb...won't be long now...

Just a brief update now that Ramadan is over. This past month has been hectic as we pushed our contractors thru the holiday season whenever possible and dealt with the uptick in mortar attacks simultaneously. Quite an experience wearing body amour and helmuts while diggin mortar rounds out of the parking areas whenever we find them. At first, it took some getting used to the alarms sounding about "incomin", but soon it we learned to work thru it, albeit uncomfortably. These things are 40 lbs and when you wear them for 14-15 hours a day, they get kinda heavy after a while until your legs get used to them. After a while, it becomes another day at the shop. Sooooooooo, here are the latest pics of the biggest postal facility in Iraq...enjoy and be thankful we have some very good professionals here takin care of business while helping these "insurgents" find their way to "72 virginville"... Ooooohah

Happy Birthday Anna Renee Selph

As many of you know, my daughter Elise and Bob had their first child yesterday Nov 1. As yall can see they "did good" and your prayers and mine were answered. I cannot begin to describe how it feels to be a "long distance granpa" because there aren't any words in my vacab other than I am so thankful for all your support and prayers and my girls and Bob are too. We have been so blessed...it's just so overwhelming I find myself just staring at the pics my bride and daughter Erin sent and say WOW...awesome. Thank you all for everything...Love Granpa Buff
