2nd Full Week
Seems like a month but it's been only been 15 days since I've signed on to the Corps. Only 54 more weeks to go...at this rate I'll be here forever! LOL Only joshin Colette. It really is an awesome experience and I've certainly done a whole bunch in my 63 years to say the least. I say this because it's so humbling to see our young people carrying the load for us back home. They go about their business in typical American style...we gotta take careabusiness, so let's get it done and go home. That's the mindset whether rebuilding or rooting out these nutzoids. The Iraqis are by and large...like us. The ones I meet are grateful for what we're doing and want to learn everything so they can do the job(s) themselves and maybe, just maybe, they'll be able to carry on for themselves. It's hard not to see their interest when working along side of us, whether it be security or rebuilding. They'll learn how to paint a wall with a brush instead of their hands if they have the right "tools". Just keep the Faith and know that we're "teaching a man to fish..." and he will be able to provide for his family. It truly is an awesome experience...and a blessing for me.

Thanks so much Richard for the update...hot here too...about 120 +/- a few each day . Get down to high 80's low 90's at nite. Be careful with all the humidity-that's the killer. We have hardly any here...like on a hot day in Arizona!!! Gotta run. Thanks for the comment. God bless. Bill

OK Mike. Thanks for the prayers and glad to hear you're on your way down da bayu bro. Keep up the good work you do and let all know our guys are really doin a fine job here. The Iraqis are riskin everything just to come to work for us! Some of the Local Nationals as we call them were kidnapped last week and some of their fam members killed just for tryin to provide for their fam. That my friend is what this trip is really all about...helping people provide for their fams and to be able to settle their own probs. Too bad we don't get much help from my "colleagues" and media types...LOL If they ever "get it" this revolution would end a lot sooner. Keep the Faith Bro and good luck God bless. Buff

Aye Lisa, ya made me day girl. Tis such sweet sorrow it tis. Aye couldn't b widya this summer but the Iraqis needed to see in the flesh so aye showed up in me kilts and it picked up thar morale it did...LOL I wish I could have been with ya girl but ya know Uncle Sam called and so I figured you all would do fine without me but he might be needin a bit of a break.... I heard about the new YM and am so excited for ya and Colette and Carolyn. Hell if I had that team over here, this friggin war be close to over, right?...LOL Thanks for the prayers Lisa and thanks for takin care of the YM and my bride...its a blessing for both of us. What a humbling job you are doing across the great ocean. Although I am sad b/c I know that your family misses you TONS, I am happy to know that you are doing something much bigger and more rewarding than many people could ever imagine doing.
